We’re thrilled to share the success of our recent fundraising run in supporting Rights for Peace! Eighteen incredible individuals from teenagers to 50+ runners laced up their shoes and hit the pavement, each running not just for fitness, but for justice and human rights.

Thanks to their dedication—and the generosity of their supporters—they collectively raised an amazing £ 7877 for our access to justice for Sudan work, involving 164 supporters, smashing our set target of £ 5,000. Something to be proud of! Every penny will go toward promoting peace, accountability, and the protection of human rights in Sudan.

A huge thank you to our runners and everyone who donated. You’ve made a real difference!

Our JustGiving pages are still live, so if you want to give a shout out to the runners or to contribute to our efforts to promote access to justice for victims of the Sudan conflict, your help is still needed more than ever.

Why we need your help

Right now, countless survivors of the conflict in Sudan are suffering in silence. Women, children, and entire communities have faced unimaginable violence, with over 12 million forcibly displaced, 3.3 million as refugees. Many have endured atrocities, including conflict-related sexual violence and ethnic persecution. Yet, for too many, dignity and justice remain out of reach.

At Rights for Peace, we work to ensure that survivors can tell their stories safely, can regain dignity and agency by becoming advocates for their rights and can see perpetrators held to account. But we can’t do this alone—we need your help.

The ongoing conflict in Sudan broke out on 15 April 2023 and has become one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. More than 25 million people—almost half of Sudan’s population— face acute hunger. Famine - a situation in which at least 1 in 5 households face starvation – has been confirmed in certain areas with more areas predicted by May 2025. All this due to ongoing violence against civilians caught between two warring parties.
